Do you suffer from…

We are trained to diagnose the root causes of your neck pain and to restore motion in your neck and affected areas, which can reduce pain and disability. Treatment may also involve nutritional recommendations to aid the healing process and the prescription of specific exercises to strengthen weakened neck muscles and reduce the risk for neck pain recurrence.

Devices have become a part of life and while limiting screen time can be difficult for most of us. Here is our guide to help you reduce and limit neck pain.

Studies show that low back pain affects 60-80% of Americans at some point in their lifetime. If not treated these flare ups can become a chronic condition and start to affect your life for years to come.

Unfortunately today most people are sitting for long periods of time whether that be at your office desk, couch, or chair. Research has shown that the pressure on your low back and discs increase 175% when sitting forward or slouched.

Current clinical guidelines recommend starting with non-pharmacological treatments first such as ice/heat, chiropractic adjustments, or massage. We should also maintain our normal activity level as much as possible, seeing as how appropriate movement in the body can help stimulate healing.

Chiropractors specialize in treating the back and neck and have amazing results. In our chiropractic office we also look for the contributing causes of your low back pain to aid in true healing. Common areas that are either contributing to are are also affected by low back pain are:

  • Tight hamstrings
  • Hip dysfunction
  • Ankle and Foot restrictions
  • Midback Tightness

When people think of chiropractic care, they usually think of neck and back pain. But what about chiropractic care for shoulder pain?

Shoulders are a ball and socket joint just like your hips. That means that they are meant for motion. The hard part is making sure we don’t have too much motion and that we don’t use other muscles and joints to do the job of the shoulder.

That’s why here at Grantsville Back Pain Relief Chiropractic we have a 10 step process of evaluating every joint within the shoulder and the supporting joints to assure maximum function and relief.

Whether you’re struggling to get your arm over your head or to pitch a 90 mph fastball. Dr. Brown has most likely seen it and worked with someone with similar conditions. Let’s get that important shoulder joint working again for you.

Unfortunately due to our society most of us at one point or another will have wrist pain. Whether it’s due to typing at a computer, working on an assembly line, sewing, texting, writing, or lifting. Wrist pain majorly affects what we can do day to day.

Not at wrist pain is created equal or caused by the same issue. The nerve pathway from the neck to the wrist creates multiple points of possible problems. The neck, 1st rib, collar bone, shoulder, and elbow can all be contributing causes to your wrist pain. Dr. Brown excels at identifying the root cause of your wrist pain so you can truly find relief. If necessary he will check and treat over 15 different areas that could be causing your wrist pain.

A large fear of most people with wrist pain is that it is or will become Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). Carpal Tunnel Syndrome most commonly occurs when a bone in your wrist, the lunate, shifts anteriorly causing a lack of space which puts pressure on your nerves creating pain, numbness, and tingling.

Three big reasons Carpal Tunnel Syndrome seems to stick around are 1. that there are commonly multiple pieces that are creating what you feel. Commonly the wrist, elbow, shoulder, and neck. 2. CTS slowly comes on. It’s those repetitive actions day in and day out over weeks, months, and even years that create the ‘sudden’ issues being felt. 3. A lot of people are hesitant to act right away because of either fear of losing a job or solely due to not knowing what to do for it or where to go. We are here to tell you that surgery isn’t your only option. Dr. Brown has and continues to help numerous patients manage and resolve their CTS.

Our feet and ankles are the base of our entire body. Whatever happens to them greatly affects everything above. Common low back, hip, and knee issues most likely are affected to some level by your feet. The arches in our feet are designed to absorb shock and reduce stress on all our joints, but most of us either have too much or too little arch which then limits how effective that shock absorption is.

Dr. Brown focuses on assuring correct motion and positioning of your feet and ankles as well as the joints above them. He can specifically test the joints to pinpoint what the underlying causes may be and then take care of the problem so you can go back to living life.

The type of shoes we wear can greatly affect how our feet feel. A study involving high heels showed that women who wore high heels often commonly felt pain mostly in the mid back, while women who occasionally wore high heels felt their pain in the low back, foot, and leg. So whether you wear a certain type of shoe everyday or occasionally it still has major effects on the body.

Let’s get to the root of your foot or ankle pain here at Grantsville Back Pain Relief Chiropractic.
